The Millbrook Inn, nestled at the head of South Pool Creek, is one of those rare finds that you stumble over, quite by accident and then find it almost impossible to leave.
Likened to Munroe bagging or a ticket at the final night of the proms, visiting The Millbrook for many people has become an annual pilgramage spanning more than 50 years, and still counting!
Why does this tiny pub continue to attract so much attention ?...in truth I'm not entirely sure....Oh it has its charms....it's Aylesbury ducks splashing around in the brook behind the pub, the pontoon down the lane where "on the tide" you can join the flotilla of boats that religiously "Swallow and Amazon" their way up the South Pool Creek, to it's low beams, open fires, local real ales and ciders, friendly staff and a genuine locally sourced menu served by equally local and…
