This year's South Pool Village Fete had to be cancelled because of the wet weather.

The popular event was due to take place on Saturday, but organisers decided to cancel it on Friday after the fete car park became waterlogged and declared unsafe.

Organisers said they could not risk vehicles becoming stuck at the site.

The annual event usually attracts hundreds of visitors who come to see the stalls, play games and enjoy village life.
